For the 2020 Presidential candidate, this past week seemed as if it couldn’t get any worse for him! However, his checkered past is now coming back to bite him in his billion-dollar behind, and to such an extent, that he won’t likely be able to buy his way out of this one. In fact, Bloomberg has become embroiled in scandals that all originate from things he has stated, over the past ten years! Things like…
- Using derogatory terms like “fag”!
- Making sexist and vile statements about women, as if they are an object rather than a person.
- Making statements about how America should ration healthcare and save money in the healthcare system, by cutting off healthcare to America’s aging population and let them die, as he says that they have already lived a long life!
Now, the left-wing news organization known as The Daily Beast has reported how Bloomberg attended a high-powered Washington summit in 2018, where he told the ‘International Monetary Fund’ managing editor Christine Legarde…
“I think income inequality is a very big problem. But the bigger problem is, you can take money from the rich and move it over to the poor. If you do it too much then the rich stop producing and everybody loses.”
Now, as Bloomberg tries to use his Billions to buy the Presidency, he is trying to re-image himself as a candidate who will “fix inequality”! In fact, in a New York Times opinion piece written by Bloomberg this past month, which was titled: “Fixing Inequality is My Priority,” he wrote how tax policies and “economic justice for black America” were two pillars of his campaign’s platform. In it, he vowed to raise high-income tax rates, impose a new tax on billionaires like himself, create jobs and “generational wealth for Black Americans,” and close tax loopholes used by the rich, which is the complete inverse of what he has touted over the past ten years!
Therefore, while Bloomberg calls for raising taxes on the rich, his behind the scenes statements indicate that he would do quite the opposite, and raise taxes on the poor while keeping taxes on the rich low!
However, Bloomberg didn’t stop there, as he stated…
“The problem is the poor want more than a handout, they want the dignity of a job, they want to be able to go home and say, ‘I am contributing to my family’ and so you’ve got to create jobs and jobs that they think—and probably are—meaningful. The first thing to do is to get rid of some of these impediments to job creation.”
“Some people say, well, taxes are regressive. But in this case, yes they are. That’s the good thing about them because the problem is in people that don’t have a lot of money. And so, higher taxes should have a bigger impact on their behavior and how they deal with themselves. So, I listen to people saying, ‘Oh we don’t want to tax the poor.’ Well, we want the poor to live longer so that they can get an education and enjoy life.”
Bloomberg added that lawmakers shouldn’t “pander” to the voters, and said that instead, they should raise taxes on sugary drinks, which he says makes poor people fatter!
In the end, as Grover Norquist, who is the head of the Conservative Americans for Tax Reform once said…
Bloomberg is nothing more than an “old school progressive” who liked to bully poor people about their habits that he disapproves of! He sees himself in a superior position—he knows better than you how you should lead your life.”
Therefore, although Bloomberg has been rapidly rising in the polls, due to radical options for President on the Democratic ticket, he is setting himself up to quickly decline, as evidence begins to emerge that shows his racist, sexist, anti-feminist, anti-black, anti-farmer, and anti-poor checkered past!
