On Thursday, Former Vice President Joe Biden was addressing the Asian and Latino Coalition in Des Moines, Iowa, as he stated that…

“poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”

Biden went on to state that…

“We should challenge these students, we should challenge students in these schools to have advanced placement programs in these schools. We have this notion that somehow if you’re poor you cannot do it, poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”

Biden later tried to clarify his remarks, as he stated “wealthy kids, black kids, asian kids,” at the end of his previous sentence.

Biden has spent recent weeks, trying to move past his controversial statements, where he praised segregationist Democrats like the late Sens. James Eastland (D-MS) and Herman Talmadge (D-GA). Also, he has been trying to recover from his bout with the 2020 Democrat contender Kamala Harris’ and her remarks about his 40-year record of opposing busing to desegregate public schools. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) noted that both of the segregationists that Biden praised, had been his allies in his former campaign against busing. Harris stated…

“It was not only that, but you also worked with them to oppose busing. There was a little girl in California who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools and she was bussed to school every day. That little girl was me. So I will tell you that on this subject, it cannot be an intellectual debate. … We have to take it seriously.”

In the end, Biden has a lot of skeletons in his political closet, as he trips up over his own tongue, as he tries to make headway in his race against President Trump! However, for him, Biden seems that maybe he should just keep his mouth shut, as his own words seem to bite him in the rear, more than the words of other candidates on either side of the aisle!
