The Democrat darling, South Bend Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg has come under immense criticisms, after he launched his campaign for the Democrat 2020 Presidential candidacy by repeatedly attacked the former Indiana Governor and current Vice President Mike Pence, over his faith, citing that Pence’s belief that marriage is between a man and a woman! Buttigieg said that Pence has a problem with God, not Buttigieg, in regards to the issue! However, Buttigieg didn’t stop there, as he attacked Christian leaders, and used the word “Pharisee” to describe the Vice President and religious leaders!

In fact, just last week, Buttigieg told the Washington Post that there was

“an awful lot about Pharisees” in the Bible, criticizing Christian beliefs, as well as Christians like Vice President Mike Pence, which Buttigieg said he had “such a dogmatic take on faith.”

Then, Buttigieg attacked the Vice President’s moral character, because he agreed to become the Vice President in the Trump Administration! He went on to say…

“It is alarmingly resonant with some New Testament themes, and not in a good way.”

Buttigieg then went on The View, where he referred to the Bible’s description of the hypocritical Pharisees to describe Christians, priests, and political officials, especially those like Pence who follow the Bible, AS IT WAS WRITTEN! He said…

“The Bible is full of it, it talks about this! It talks about hypocrites. It talks about Pharisees … frankly, political officials and priests don’t come off that well in the text of the New Testament.”

Furthermore, Buttigieg’s use of the term ‘Pharisee’ is an attack on the Jewish faith, as its definition means “a member of an ancient Jewish sect, distinguished by strict observance of the traditional and written law, and commonly held to have pretensions to superior sanctity.” In addition, Buttigieg is calling religious leaders, Christian political leaders, and the Vice President as ‘a self-righteous person, or a hypocrite’ due to their Christian faith!

Even the left-wing  Jerusalem Post condemned Buttigieg’s use of the word, but Buttigieg and his campaign defended his attacks on the Christian and Jewish communities! Chris Meagher, Buttigieg’s National Press Secretary said…

“The Mayor expressed his concern about the hypocrisy on the part of evangelical leaders. He invoked this Biblical reference since it is commonly used to show skepticism of hypocritical establishment leaders. That was the way he intended it.”

Now, after immense outrage over the South Bend Mayor’s comments and aspersions he cast upon the Christian and Jewish communities, Buttigieg’s communications advisor, Lis Smith announced that his campaign would change their approach! She tweeted...

In the end, the Democrat Party, and even many within the Republican establishment have turned their back on Christianity and true Christian principles! Sadly, we live in a day where the true Separation of Church and State has become obsolete, as the State has officially waged war on the church! Meanwhile, they pervert Jefferson’s “Separation of Church and State” clause! In fact, the Establishment Clause and Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which reads…

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”

The intent of this clause was to limit the power of the Federal Government in regard to religion thus ensuring freedom of religion in the United States.

Therefore, the “Separation of Church and State” was a phrase used by Thomas Jefferson to explain the understanding of the Establishment and Free Exercise Clause! It was used to explain that the Separation of Church and State was put into place NOT TO PROTECT THE STATE FROM THE CHURCH, BUT TO PROTECT THE CHURCH FROM THE STATE!

After all, the forefathers of our nation came to this great nation for freedom of religion, as they fled persecution and religious restrictions on their worship! In addition, they wanted to ensure that they and future generations of Americans were protected from the government of the United States, by ensuring that it could never impose itself upon a citizen’s right to believe or practice their belief without government interference.

Therefore, what does separation of church and state mean today? It doesn’t mean that our government can tell us that we cannot believe in God, or how we teach our children in our schools! It does not mean that government  can dictate how, when, where, or why we worship our Lord God! It doesn’t mean that our government can dictate where we place crosses, strip faith out of our courthouses, or government buildings! Furthermore, it doesn’t mean that we can allow the Muslim faith in schools while banning the Christian faith in schools!

Today, anti-Christian bigots like Buttigieg attack Christians and their faith, while claiming to be righteous, but a true Christian would never attack fellow Christians! Buttigieg attacked the Vice President’s relationship with his God while claiming that he is a devout Christian! However, Christians don’t judge other humans, as they know that  in John 8:7, it says

“Let him who is without sin among you be the first to cast a stone at her.”

Therefore, Buttigieg’s attacks against Christians, even if he is a Christian, is far from justified! Sadly, today’s Democrats have embraced the ideology of anti-Semitism, anti-Christianity, and anti-Americanism, as they seek to transform America into a secular nation! Unfortunately, Buttigieg isn’t alone in his hate for faith and church in America, nor will he be the last!
