Going into the State of the Union, President Donald Trump’s approval rating had hit 48%, according to Rasmussen Reports! However, after reviewing the numbers coming out of the State of the Union, it is not only likely to go up, BUT GO UP BIG!

In fact, a CBS News released an instant poll taken immediately after President Trump’s State of the Union address found 76 percent of those who watched approved of the speech. 72 percent approved of Trump’s immigration proposals…

CBS Evening News anchor Jeff Glor reported on the poll results.

CBS’s Party affiliation showed that most of those who watched the State of the Union, and participated in their polling were Republicans and Independents, which is important for the President. After all, Independents are critical for the President to implement his agenda!

Even 59% of CNN viewers found the Presidents speech “very positive”, while 17% found it somewhat positive, and only 23% found it negative…

CNN pundits were shocked, so they tried to spin the numbers as CNN analyst Chalian stated that…

“At least those who watched. This is our first look at a brand-new instant poll, but it is among speech watchers. So I just want to stress here for a State of the Union address, the President’s partisans, his supporters tend to turn out to watch the speech.”

However, that seems to be a bit of a MAJOR REACH, since the poll only includes CNN viewers, who are not at all supporters of President Trump!

Even Peggy Noonan, a former speechwriter for President Ronald Reagan, and a current commentator for NBC and MSNBC, who is no fan of President Trump, praised his speech tonight by saying that…

“This has been a deeply adept speech in terms of policy. He cut to the muscle on legal and illegal immigration, on abortion and infanticide, on foreign wars. His vow on socialism will be remembered. Great heroes in the balcony, a real American panoply. And good-natured with the white jackets, who I see some on twitter are calling the straight jackets. AOC had a rare bad night, looking not spirited, warm and original as usual but sullen, teenaged and at a loss.”

In all, it appears that the President was extremely successful in delivering a unifying speech at the State of the Union. After all, he may not have been able to bring the now Socialist and Marxist Democrats to meet in the middle, but it appears that he likely unified much of the nation behind his agenda, and his Presidency!
