On Wednesday, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam (D-VA) came under fire when he was asked about a controversial bill that would allow women to terminate a pregnancy up to the moment of birth.

Democrats have already passed laws in California and New York that allows for last-minute abortions in the babies ninth month of pregnancy, and up to the moment of birth!

Sadly, Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) even celebrated the late-term abortion law, which constitutes infanticide by lighting up government buildings, including the World Trade Center in pink, setting Christians back, as they couldn’t believe anyone would celebrate infanticide! Cuomo responded by stating…

“The Catholic Church doesn’t believe in a woman’s right to choose. Yes, I understand their religious view. But I’m not here to legislate religion.”

Similar laws that expand abortion access and give protections to fully developed babies have already been stripped away in New Mexico, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Washington State! Even the legislation in Virginia on Wednesday nearly passed, which would have allowed women to abort fully developed babies that could live outside of the womb, within seconds of their being born into the world and taking their first breath!

Fortunately, Republicans were able to block its passage…BUT BARELY! In fact, it failed along a straight party-line vote with every Democrat voting for the bill, and every Republican voting against the bill! Then, the Democrat lawmaker who proposed the bill stood up and lectured the Virginia House of Delegates on why Infanticide should be legal…

Meanwhile, Governor Ralph Northam (D-VA) endorsed killing the baby post-delivery, stating allowing the baby to live, is up to the mother and her doctor!

What does it say about our nation and our society that we have allowed our elected leaders to exterminate the babies in our nation? What does it say about our humanity, that we allow infanticide to become the emerging trend in our nation?

Sadly, Northam is a former pediatric neurologist, which would make one hope that he would have more compassion for the life of infants, who cannot defend themselves against animals who would willingly and pointlessly exterminate their lives for no other reason than they are unwanted! Instead, Northam said that third-trimester abortions are done with

“the consent of obviously the mother, with consent of the physician, multiple physicians by the way, and it’s done in cases where there may be severe deformities or there may be a fetus that’s not viable. So in this particular example, if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen, the infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”

In other words, he was saying that the newborn would be left to die, which is also known as “infanticide”.

Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) chastised the Governor and said…

“This is morally repugnant! In just a few years pro-abortion zealots went from ‘safe, legal, and rare’ to ‘keep the newborns comfortable while the doctor debates infanticide.’ I don’t care what party you’re from — if you can’t say that it’s wrong to leave babies to die after birth, get the hell out of public office.”

By Wednesday evening, Northam was coming under intense heat for his comments and although he didn’t retract any of his comments, he tried to defend himself and said

Meanwhile, Northam’s Communications Director Ofirah Yheskel attacked their critics and said that they were…

“trying to play politics with women’s health. No woman seeks a third-trimester abortion except in the case of tragic or difficult circumstances, such as a nonviable pregnancy or in the event of severe fetal abnormalities, and the governor’s comments were limited to the actions physicians would take in the event that a woman in those circumstances went into labor. Attempts to extrapolate these comments otherwise is in bad faith and underscores exactly why the governor believes physicians and women, not legislators, should make these difficult and deeply personal medical decisions.”

Former Sen. Jim DeMint said that Northam’s remarks were “evil.” He said…

Regardless, one thing is abundantly clear! The Democrats have moved well past laws that only allow abortions for women when their lives are in danger and have now placed fully grown babies to be aborted, regardless of them being able to fully be developed and able to survive outside of the womb! Democrats like Northam and Andrew Cuomo would do good to not sugar coat it and therefore should call it what it truly is….INFANTICIDE AND MURDER!
