Map of New York State’s population and how they tend to vote on election day (above).
Therefore, just like California, there is a growing number of individuals who are seeking to break their state up into smaller states. They complain about their states Progressive-Socialist and left-wing insanity, and are now talking about breaking New York into two separate states, called New York and New Amsterdam, as possible names for the new states. They complain that Western New Yorker’s are “dissatisfied” with the massive corruption and raise the complaint that those who live in Western New York are not represented. Instead, pro-cessation New Yorker Stephen Aldstadt says…
“That’s the big issue right now. People feel like they are not represented like all of upstate is run essentially by the New York City liberals and small group that are running the entire state.”
New York cessation is not a new concept for the state. In fact, in 2015, the Times-Union reported about pro-constitutional movement groups were gathering to begin fighting to divide the state for better representation. The movement started a petition on the Divide New York State Caucus website that said…
“It is inequitable to both upstate and downstate residents to share a representative government; the vast differences in lifestyle and aspirations demonstrate that both downstate and upstate should have their own autonomous governments so as to more effectively serve their constituents’ interests.”
Numerous proposals to divide New York have been pushed in the past, and most of them are based on the cultural, economic, and political differences that separate Upstate New York from New York City and its greater metropolitan area, as framed by the Divide NYS website. Never-the-less, Upstate New York is suffering due to the Progressive-led government, elected primarily by New York City residents. New Yorkers have fled from upstate to other lower cost, and lower tax states in the Union. The youth is fleeing New York due to a lack of jobs in the state, and due to Progressive programs and policies. Upstate residents have regulations and restrictions that restrict their rights due to their progressive policies.
The reasons behind the movement are not necessarily cultural either, as secessionists have become more and more unified, while growing in numbers since Governor Andrew Cuomo fought to ban hydraulic fracking, heavily increased taxes, increased unemployment, encouraged illegal immigration, and other Progressive-Socialist policies and laws.
Meanwhile, as the growing discontent throughout New York State increases, Progressive-Socialists who control politics are using measures to try to ensure the secessionists don’t win. For example, now as New York has growing discontent with his states voters, Governor Andrew Cuomo, who tends to follow communist ideology, is scrambling to try to ensure his state does not break in two. In fact, Governor Cuomo has fought for Soviet-style communism in the state of New York, and said all who oppose the Progressive-Socialist and communist style leadership should leave the state. Gov. Andrew Cuomo said…
“extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.”
Now, as conservative New Yorkers who dominate the majority of real estate in New York State are angry and feel un-represented, they are fighting back.
Instead of following Cuomo’s demands that they leave New York, New Yorkers are calling for a break-up, and the formation of their own state.
Now, however, in an effort to shore up the democratic stronghold that the state poses, (through only its lopsided coastal population), Cuomo is threatening an executive order eerily similar to a recent move in the State of Virginia.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) signed an executive order giving all paroles in New York the right to vote.
The announcement comes after he noted that the New York Legislature voted down such a measure.
“I’m going to make it law by executive order,” Cuomo said during a speech to the National Action Network’s annual conference.
“In this state, when you’re released from prison and you’re on parole, you still don’t have the right to vote,” Cuomo said. “Now how can that be? You did your time. You paid your debt. You’re released, but you still don’t have a right to vote.”
New York is not the only Progressive state running into secession problems. In fact, California is even further along in their attemptive break-up with their own state. The movement is called CalExit, and will be on the ballot in Novemeber 2018.
Interestingly, the Guardian, also called the Manchester Guardian, is one of the oldest and most influential Progressive-Socialist European publications. One of their reporters came to California and wrote…
“The widening divides in the US have played out in stark ways in California, where clashes between Trump supporters and those threatened by his agenda have led to violent conflicts, battles between neighbors and dueling campaigns to draw new borders that tear apart the country’s most populous state.”
For decades, California has been ground-zero for the socialist and communist movement in America. From the Red Scare of the 1940’s to the present, California has become the petri-dish of American communism. The Guardian has even stated their worry that the level of communist ideology and Progressive-Socialist violence and viciousness that is exuded by the communist leaning democrats is leading to a backlash. A rebellion of sorts that is uniting traditional conservatives and working-class democrats throughout the rural regions. A movement that is solidifying Trump’s base, and leading to rural American’s who are interested in a Brexit style movement that culminates in CalExit, and NYExit from their respective state governments.
Albeit a near impossibility that the CalExit and NYExit be successful, it is not an impossibility. Furthermore, as the Progressive-Socialist left, Mainstream Media, and other left-wing radical groups continue down their path of hate and intolerance, it only serves to solidify those groups that many thought improbable.
Also, former attempts to break California and other states into new states failed because they didn’t do it properly. The CalExit and NYExit are following the ‘rule of law’, and doing it based on the U.S. Constitution’s Article IV, Section 3 requirements to admit a new state. That combined with skyrocketing taxes in Progressive states, enormously obscene debt levels, high unemployment, illegal immigration, sanctuary policies, healthcare crisis’, safeguarding of the ruthless MS-13 gang, and countless other problems that their progressive-socialist and communist policies have brought to bear on their citizens.
In the end, regardless of CalExit and NYExit’s success in breaking away to form their own state, the Democrat Party’s stance against President Trump and his agenda is taking a huge toll on their Party’s support. A toll that will likely have dire consequences for them in the upcoming election in not just NY and California, but across the nation. As a result, their supposed blue wave for 2018, and 2020 seems to be fading into a distant memory as it fades into a massive red wave. As a result, the Make America Great Again agenda and conservative values will make a huge gains as Democrats and Fabian-Rino Republicans find it difficult to run on a platform of failed principles in the coming years.
