Although the Department of Justice released the following additional text messages between FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page on Thursday evening, reports indicate some of the most damning texts were withheld. A move that angered a number of Republicans who have been calling for transparency from Jeff Sessions DOJ.
These text messages include the months between December 2016, and May 2017, when Mueller was appointed to the Special Council. Additionally, the DOJ only released 49 more pages, and most of them were heavily redacted. The FBI had originally claimed that the messages were erased due to a tech glitch with the FBI-issued phones, but since then, they were magically recovered.
Congressional Republicans are still pushing for the Department of Justice to release the remaining text messages, yet the Department of Justice is still withholding them. It all makes one wonder, if and when, Attorney General Jeff Sessions will be fired, or if he will ever do his job!
