It is officially Super Bowl Sunday, an event that draws in millions of viewers and results in billions of dollars each year in revenues. Advertisers are always drawn in to spend millions on target audiences, and football enthusiasts would always spend money on food, drinks, and other football related items. This year is ramping up to be something much different though. Following a long a rocky season for the NFL, Roger Goodell and his Social Justice Warriors (SJW’s) are vowing a greater Anti-American push throughout their organization. A sad day, that would make the founder’s of the American Football League and National Football League sickened to the core.

The American Football League (AFL) was founded in 1960, and ran for ten seasons. It was merged with the older  National Football League (NFL) in 1969. The NFL grew astronomically over the years and became one of the greatest American pastimes. Americans looked forward to the games as they gathered in bars, restaurants, and living rooms to watch the big game. It also became a massive money-maker for businesses, and commercialization of the sport became huge. Meanwhile, football players salaries skyrocketed until more recently, they were raking in payrolls worth millions. Americans were becoming increasingly annoyed at the massive salaries that the players were bringing in, but despite their frustrations, America continued to watch, and in even greater numbers. Commercialization hit an all time high with the Super Bowl, which became one of the most commercialized events of the year. With billions of dollars being spent, companies like Anheizer Busch and others, they would spend millions of dollars on a single advertisement. American’s not as interested in the game would tune in to see the commercials. The half time show would sport glamour, lights, fireworks, and many times scantily clothed women parading on stage in front of the world. An organization that had been primarily a sport born out of the American dream was becoming twisted and perverted by anti-christian values. But it didn’t stop there. On September 1, 2016, San Francisco 49’ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick took a knee during the national anthem and was booed at Qualcomm Stadium.

To make matters worse, Kapernick wore socks that depicted police as pigs. According to multiple reports and accounts, the quarterback wore the socks during multiple offseason practices.

Kaepernick released a statement explaining why he wore the socks:

“I wore these socks, in the past, because the rogue cops that are allowed to hold positions in police departments, not only put the community in danger, but also put the cops that have the right intentions in danger by creating an environment of tension and mistrust. I have two uncles and friends who are police officers and work to protect and serve ALL people. So before these socks, which were worn before I took my public stance, are used to distract from the real issues, I wanted to address this immediately.”

Despite objections from the NFL audience, Kapernick continued to take a knee during the national anthem before games, and he continued to wear socks depicting the police as ‘pigs’.

In the following 2017-2018 NFL season, the ‘take a knee’ protests expanded throughout the NFL bringing the organization into the political spotlight. As the protests expanded, the NFL suffered massive losses in tv viewership, and the NFL, under Roger Goodell’s leadership. According to the Bangor Daily News, Roger Goodell said:

“We’re just getting started with this effort,”

They went on to say that despite the growing disdain and anger that fans have towards the NFL, plummeting tv ratings, and a growing movement of player anthem protests, the NFL Commissioner Goodell is promising that the league is prepared to increase its campaign and attention on the Progressive ‘Social Justice’ programs and movement, and shepherd in new social justice programs within the NFL.

To make matters worse for the NFL, it now appears that Goodell is staying true to his words and declaring a war on ‘America’, and everything our great nation stands for. Commissioner Goodell and the NFL have chosen to censor the veterans group (AMVETS) who were putting on a television ad that promoted America and asked Americans to #PleaseStand for the national anthem out of respect for our flag, country, and those who serve. However, according to the Army Times, the NFL rejected the commercial. The ad, projected to cost the group $30,000, featured veterans saluting the flag and ended with information on how to donate to the charitable veterans organization.

Now despite their outright rejection and disrespect for veterans, the NFL has announced that they will spotlight the ‘take a knee protesters’, in a clear move to promote the Progressive-Socialists ‘Social Justice Warriors’ mission to fight against America, Trump, veterans, and anything that would promote pro-American ideals, or America First patriotism during the Superbowl.

Now, as the NFL’s ‘SJW’ anti-American fight rages on, the WSJ/NBC poll found several things that should worry the NFL both for its near and long-term future. Currently, it shows that fans are not going to games, and turning off the televised games in massive numbers. To make it even worse for the NFL, a widespread phenomenon occurring involves parents that are discouraging their children from watching or playing football due to their anti-American agenda, and due to safety concerns as well. What does this mean for the NFL? Ultimately, it creates fewer football fans for generations to come. This has resulted in the NFL losing fans across multiple demographics, including young men who the NFL has found as crucial to their success for a future fan base.

After a difficult year, polling found that NFL fans:

Adult viewership dropped 9%, and their critical supporters ranging from 18-49 year old male viewership has dropped 75% over the past four years.

Republican interest in the NFL dropped 14%, while Democrat interest dropped 16%.

The poll found Democrat interest declined mostly due to concerns over head injuries, while Republican’s due to the anti-American ‘take a knee’ protests. The polling also found that of those surveyed:

49% saying they would encourage their child to play another sport, up from 43% in 2014. Roberts described this data as “a flashing yellow light,” since robust youth participation in a sport typically correlates with a larger adult fan base.

Despite the data, Roger Goodell and the NFL are doing what they’ve done all season. They are continuing to defy Americans who are fed up with the disrespect. They are throwing the American people under the bus and refusing to acknowledge the enormous disconnect between the over-paid, disrespectful, and un-appreciative athletes, and the working class fans who spend their hard-earned money to watch the games, and as a result, supports the massive salaries that the athletic Elitists receive for playing the game.

Now, Commissioner Goodell and the NFL has their hopes pinned on the Superbowl to pull them out of their year-long slump, but early indications say otherwise. The NFL hopes that since the New England Patriots have their golden boy ‘Tom Brady’ leading them onto the field, they expect American’s to tune in to root against a predominantly despised quarterback. They hope that having a football GIANT in the world of quarterbacks and teams, being challenged by an underdog like the Eagles will outweigh the anger and disgust that their fans have stewed in throughout the regular season. In fact, NBC is hoping to top their all-time record set in 2015 when nearly 114.5 million viewers tuned into Superbowl XLIX. NBC’s Al Michael’s said:

“’You either love them or you hate them, but you have to pay attention.” He went on to say that ‘I don’t see someone waking up Sunday morning and saying, “It’s the Patriots again. I’m going to the movies.”

Now, as the NFL continues to be plagued by controversies over protests, and as a result, have lost millions of television viewers and fans in their stadiums, it is a prime opportunity for a competitor to enter the fray. A competitor to fill the void that has the potential to fill a much-needed void. Therefore, McMahon has concluded that it is high time to sponsor a return of the XFL. While the XFL hasn’t changed its name,. Vince McMahon’s reboot of his football league will be much different. McMahon hosted a Q&A on YouTube in order to explain the circumstances around the XFL’s return, and although we don’t know a lot of the specifics (broadcast distribution, cities, camera angles), we have learned quite a bit in a short period time.

McMahon’s XFL will vary greatly differ from the NFL in numerous ways.  CBS Sports reported:

  1.  The game will be faster and shrunk from a three to four-hour game to a two-hour game, possibly eliminating the halftime.
  2. There will be no politics allowed at all! He said: “People don’t want social and political issues coming into play when they are trying to be entertained,” McMahon said. “We want someone who wants to take a knee to do their version of that on their personal time.”
  3. There will be no players allowed with criminal records. A move that would eliminate probably half of NFL players. In fact, McMahon said that “We are evaluating a player based on many things, including the quality of human being they are. If you have any sort of criminal record or commit a crime you aren’t playing in this league.”
  4. The league will use a two-year period to prepare and set up the XFL. Teams will  be formed in 2019, and games won’t be played until 2020.
  5. All cities throughout America will be on the radar, despite a NFL team being in the city or not. McMahon would not even rule out cities that have NFL teams. McMahon likes the idea of competition with the NFL now.
  6. McMahon said that every team will be owned by the XFL, at least in name, have unilateral control over every team in the league. Furthermore, since it is not a franchise model, it will allow the XFL to implement a uniform salary cap and punishment system, a mandatory rule that all players stand for the anthem, and other factors.
  7. The XFL will drop the NFL’s 53 man roster to a 40 man roster with about 8 teams starting out. In addition, it would have a ten week regular season schedule with four teams that would go into  postseason championship games.

Ultimately, with the head injuries plaguing the NFL, combined with the self-inflicted boycotts,  organizations like ESPN and other major networks have begun abandoning NFL coverage. A problem that appears to be gaining momentum, and will likely have devastating consequences on games throughout subsequent seasons. Unfortunately, we live in a time where the politicization of entertainment and sports is no longer taboo. A move that has forced those deemed deplorable to find other means of entertainment. They have forced those who are deemed racist, simply because they believe patriotism to be important. Social Justice Warriors have demeaned and criticized American’s who push back against the ‘take a knee protests’, and declared them undesirables. It is incredibly sad that we have reached a moment in our nation that it is considered racist to show our flag, military, country, and God the respect that they duly deserve.

Therefore, as the 2017 NFL season has concluded, and the Superbowl starts today, the Kaepernick inspired protests of kneeling, sitting, or stretching during the anthem will likely continue to offend and cause American’s to tune out the NFL and tune into other options, like hockey, or movies. Football, like most other sports was conceived to show competition between children, families, communities, or nations. However, now that the NFL has turned it from patriotism into Progressive hate-filled ideology, many turned-off American’s will continue to search for other options like the XFL. Sports was born out of the privileges of pride, honor, and freedom that only can be born of our great American nation. Freedom’s that exist because of the brave men and women who have fought and died for the flag, the anthem, and all that they stand for. Accordingly, as the NFL and the overpaid elitist players take the field in today’s Superbowl matchup, many throughout the nation will choose to tune out the Superbowl for other more noteworthy options. In the meantime, many Americans will choose to not only tune out the NFL, but to defy those being disrespectful by opting to taking a knee as well. However, instead of doing it as a way to show disrespect to our police, military, and nation, they will take a knee to ask God to forgive those who have forsaken him, and to watch over our nation and help American’s to find their way back.
